教师简介：
Dr.Prof. Niel A. Karrow：加拿大圭尔夫大学动物科学系教授，博士生导师。1989年毕业于加拿大圭尔夫大学生物学专业（本科），1995年毕业于滑铁卢大学水生动物毒理学专业（硕士），1999年毕业于加拿大滑铁卢大学免疫毒理学专业（博士）。先后在美国弗吉尼亚联邦大学、圭尔夫大学兽医学院从事博士后研究。2002年起任职于加拿大圭尔夫大学。主要从事反刍家畜免疫遗传、免疫毒理学等方面的研究，特别在牛的免疫性疾病如乳房炎、副结核病遗传分子标记鉴定方面做了大量开创性的工作。先后获加拿大国家自然科学基金会、加拿大乳业协会和加拿大乳房炎协会等部门提供的各类科研项目30余项，累计科研经费近900万加元。在国际知名杂志BMC Genomics、BMC Veterinary Research、Journal of Dairy Science、Animal Genetics等发表科研论文80多篇，累计影响因子300以上，先后培养博士研究生10多名，硕士研究生20多人。主要承担课程有比较免疫学（Comparative Immunology）、动物健康（Animal Health）等。
